HOME … it’s where you should feel most comfortable, supported, loved and safe. Your body/mind is the most important home you'll ever live in—and never move out of—so why not learn to treat it well by tuning in and tending to its (your) needs?

If you live with pain, anxiety, depression or have had trauma in your life, your body and your thoughts may not feel so welcoming. They may feel like a home you want to run away from or ignore. Let's work together to change that at Wild Trails Farm in Springfield, Vermont, during a long weekend of movement, mindfulness and more August 9-12 with Jo Bregnard and special guest Colleen Jorgensen.

Gather in an environmentally friendly lodge The Boston Globe calls "impeccably maintained," enjoy 20 km of hiking and biking trails, refuel with nourishing local food, and connect with a kind-hearted and easy-going community—and of course, yourself!

You’ll go back to your day-to-day life feeling fully re-energized, rested and supported … and with useful tools and goodies to keep the benefits of this retreat with you.

it’s an all-inclusive long weekend

Take in the trees and meadows on Wild Trails’ 472 private acres through morning mindfulness and meditation sessions. Explore rhythmic gentle yoga, embodied somatic movement and the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (yin and acupressure) during mat-based classes. Then after some fun creative play, at days’ end find deep nurturing through restorative practices, fireside councils and conversation, followed by yoga nidra for sound sleep.

In between, enjoy satisfying meals and delectable treats crafted by our friends at Heritage Deli & Bakery. And spend your afternoon traversing 20 km of hiking and biking trails (with the help of Wild Trails’ exclusive mobile GPS app), swimming in one of the ponds, browsing nearby artisan shops, or napping in a hammock.

The rate for this long-weekend retreat covers all group sessions and meals, plus fun surprises!

Commit to yourself before summer begins when you register for this unique retreat by June 1 and enjoy recordings of the movement classes to watch again and again, wherever you call home.

LODGING SPOTS ARE FULLY BOOKED—DAY PASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE! Register for the retreat for $525 (USD). Don’t wait—there’s just 1 of these commuter spots left!

wild trails farm

For this long weekend retreat, we’ll gather in Wild Trails Farm’s modern solar- and geothermal-powered lodge on hundreds of private acres of forests and fields. It offers a fully stocked kitchen with two dining areas, a well-appointed common room, cushy-floored yoga studio, and a spa with a large Finnish sauna and pool table.

During your free time you can enjoy the expansive southern views from the front stone patio—last year’s retreaters spied a spectacular shooting star from here—or relax in a cozier setting on the screened-in rear porch, nestled in an apple orchard and looking out over the bocce and volleyball courts. Nearby Chester, Weston, Ludlow and Mt. Ascutney offer a variety of options for afternoon free time.

about host Jo

After tending to family members in past years, Jo started sharing everyday selfcare experiences with others online through a variety of practical tools—yoga, mindfulness, acupressure, breathwork and more—to give them the support they need so they can continue doing the things that bring joy and connection.

Besides yoga teaching certifications (a 200-hour and a 300-hour with a focus on therapeutic essentials), Jo has done additional study in a wide variety of areas. She also has level-II certifications in Reiki, Thai yoga bodywork and Yin Yoga, as well as three decades of experience in aromatherapy. Additionally, she’s certified in Meridian Therapy, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Five-Element Theory, Beginner Tai Chi, and she’s currently exploring Acupressure Bodywork and Qi Cultivation.

Jo is the Retreats Manager at Wild Trails Farm, where she crafts customized personal and group retreats for guests. She’s also a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, so she enjoys weaving lessons learned from the natural world into time spent both on and off the mat.

about our guest Colleen

Colleen Jorgensen is an Osteopath, a graduate of Pain Care U’s Professional Pain Care program, a Pain Care Aware trainer and a therapeutic Pilates, yoga and somatics teacher. She started dancing at the age of 3 and hasn't stopped exploring movement since!

Colleen owned the small multidisciplinary clinic CORE BASICS - Centre d’Osteopathie et Pilates for 16 years until challenging health issues changed her path and she founded Stillness in Motion. She’s best known for combining manual therapy with creative, embodied movement, mindfulness, awareness, self-regulation practices and a distinctive, heart centered approach to pain care.

Colleen offers many courses, workshops and teacher trainings in embodied anatomy, somatic movement, and compassionate, creative pain care. Living with chronic pain herself for over a decade has given her an invaluable perspective on the day-to-day challenges those in pain face.
